Video Rules

If the videographer misses the wedding without calling and emailing Big Day.

The videographer will be responsible for calling the bride and apologizing. All future weddings will be canceled and pay will be forfeited.

If the videographer misses any of the must have shots. submits false information (States that he/she got all of the shots asked for when he/she actually didn’t.) 

The videographer will have their payment cut by 50%. Absolute must have shots include:

60 FPS

  • Dress(with movement)

  • Wedding details (with movement)

  • Bride getting dressed/important people helping 

  • First looks

  • Bride and Groom kissing

  • Bridal party cheering

24 FPS

  • Full processional

  • Groom seeing bride walk down the aisle

  • Exchanging rings

  • officiant speech

  • First kiss

  • Recessional 

  • Reception details 

  • Guests hugging/laughing

  • Introductions at reception

  • Cake cutting 

  • All special dances

  • Speeches

5. If the videographer doesn’t wear the requested attire or is late.

The videographer will be deducted 25% payment.

6. The videographer drinks or does drugs on the job.

All future wedding bookings will be cancelled.

7. The videographer looses any footage from wedding. 

The videographer will be responsible for calling the bride ,explaining the situation and apologizing. The videographer will be deducted 100% pay. The videographer may pay back the due balance in the form of filming future weddings.

8. The videographer is NOT under any circumstances allowed to say anything bad about anyone that has anything to do with the wedding or Big Day while on location, or in proximity that has anything to do with the event.

All future wedding bookings will be cancelled.

9. The videographer is NOT under any circumstances allowed to make any comments regarding anyone’s appearance negatively or how one appears to look (i.e. their height, weight, or anything that can be viewed in a negative way). Videographers are NOT, under any circumstances, allowed to make any comments that could be interpreted as sexual harassment. The videographer is NOT, under any circumstances, allowed to make any comments on one’s views or religious beliefs, or any comments regarding their race, color, sexual orientation, or lifestyle.

10. We want you to share your work on social! But please make sure that, "Shot for @bigdayphotovideo" are the first words in your post description AND tagged on the photo or video itself.

If your posts/stories are not labeled correctly, we will ask you to revise or take the post down.

  • Dress shirt with a collar (ironed/pressed/steamed) and/or sport coat.

  • Belt

  • Dress pants

  • A dress, dress pants, or skirt and blouse

  • Comfy closed-toed dress shoes

What not to wear

  • Shorts

  • Sandals

  • Shirts with large logos

  • Jeans

  • Hats

  • Sweats

  • T-shirts

  • Tank tops
